Visa procedures for in-laws after arrival
In April, my in-laws will arrive with a visa secured through an I-130. What procedures must be followed after their arrival, and how long does it typically take to obtain the green card via mail? We are preparing to book their ticket but are uncertain about the length of stay; we are contemplating six weeks but seek advice.

Sounds like they received an immigrant visa. Presuming that the new administration will not ban immigration, they will move to the U.S., and to maintain lawful permanent resident status the U.S. has to be their permanent dwelling place/primary domicile. Meaning 6+ months of the year will be spent in the U.S.
Other than that nothing really. Get them health insurance within 30 days of arrival, and wait for SSN and greencards to arrive after you paid the immigrant fee.
